Acarbose tablets, marketed under the name Precose, are oral medications that belong to the class of alpha-glucosidase inhibitors, used in the management of type 2 diabetes. It is sometimes prescribed alongside insulin or other oral antidiabetic drugs. Precose is also available as a generic medication.
