MELOXICAM
Meloxicam is a medication that is used to alleviate pain, tenderness, swelling, and stiffness caused by osteoarthritis (a type of arthritis that results from the breakdown of joint cartilage) and rheumatoid arthritis (a type of arthritis caused by inflammation of the lining of the joints). Meloxicam is also used to ease the pain, swelling, stiffness, and tenderness caused by juvenile rheumatoid arthritis in children who are at least 2 years old.

Serious stomach or intestinal bleeding may occur while using Meloxicam, which can be life-threatening. This can happen suddenly without any warning signs, especially among elderly patients.
Before taking meloxicam, inform your doctor of your medical history, especially if you have previously experienced:
- Heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, or if you smoke
- A heart attack, stroke, or blood clot
- Ulcers or stomach bleeding
- Asthma
- Kidney disease (or if you are undergoing dialysis)
- Liver disease
- Fluid retention
